Rebecca Short, LMFT

Hello! I am Rebecca Short, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and certified as a Clinical Telemental Health Provider. I am particularly interested in helping those who are in key transition phases of their lives such as middle age, being a caregiver, and entering retirement. I also have a special connection with those experiencing grief, facing terminal illness, those involved in the care-giving of family members, and those coping with chronic pain in their own lives.

My practice has consistently included people of all ages including older teens and twenty-somethings. I have a very warm, relaxed, and personalized style of therapy that provides a safe and welcoming space for young people to open up and be themselves. The young people I work with typically become consistent clients and stay with the therapy process for a helpful length of time.

I am an ally of the LGBTQ community and my practice includes LGBTQ people of all ages and relationships. My warm and non-judgmental approach allows clients to open up and be themselves in the therapeutic space so that their concerns can be explored and discussed.

All of my clients are courageous, brave, and determined to make meaning in their life. My clients are tired of hurting. They are looking for someone to accompany them on this journey who is empathetic to what it’s like to live in their shoes and honors that knowledge with compassion and respect. It would be a privilege to be that person to accompany you.
