Keyla Silva-Byrd, LMSW

My name is Keyla Silva-Byrd and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LMSW). I received my BA in Psychology from Montclair State University and my MSW from New York University. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 10 years and in the helping profession for approximately 13 years. I love working with and helping people in all aspects of my life!

Throughout my professional journey, I have worked in a residential setting, in various counseling centers, I spent numerous years working with trauma, as well as school-based health centers. I have specialized experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, relational and family conflict, abuse, and working with adolescents.

I believe that my experiences have shaped and provided me with a well-rounded skill set that has helped me in my therapeutic practice. I incorporate many modalities and interventions into my practice but tend to operate from a Systems Perspective and utilize Structural Family Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused interventions. I love to incorporate Mindfulness and Relaxation techniques into my practice as well to help folks expand the tools they have in their toolbox.

During my free time, I love to cook, spend time with family, travel, and give back to those in need.

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to hearing from you.
