Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have over 16 years of therapeutic/clinical experience in social, educational, and mental health settings as a multicultural therapist that is community-based working with a variety of individuals, children, families, and couples from a variety of different backgrounds and presenting issues ranging from domestic violence, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), acute stress disorder, school, community, and family issues.
Primary duties include conducting intake evaluations of individuals, children, and families, always practicing confidentiality while assuming primary responsibilities for treatment, provision of individual and family therapy, culturally appropriate counseling, and parental counseling while providing therapeutic services, advocacy, community and in-school services to the underserved and underprivileged/disadvantage individuals, children, and families.
I believe in meeting the client where they are currently at and keeping them present in the here and now during my treatment process which is the key to a successful and beneficial therapeutic experience for all my clientele.
My goal is to increase resiliency for my clients, increasing their successful and beneficial therapeutic experience. Likewise, I desire to create a safe environment for my clients to address their needs, concerns, and goals without distress or discomfort.
