Nathan Pacheco, Counselor
Life can be full of challenges, and having someone really listen can be instrumental in successfully navigating through trying times. I believe people can be successful when they feel they are heard and they feel like they belong. As we journey through the counseling process, I promise to go at your pace and to treat you as the expert in your own life.
My goal as a counselor is to provide my clients with a place that is safe and non-judgmental as you journey into the deep places of your heart and mind.
I will be here with you as you explore these sacred spaces. My passion is for working with young adults and adolescents and their families. Through my counseling work, I hope to help people:
Navigate life, transitions, school
Identify/develop lasting skills and coping strategies
Find their voice and communicate their desires/needs
As a school counselor, I have experience supporting challenges such as:
Peer interactions and conflicts
School success strategies
Teacher-student communication
Future planning
Academic accommodations
I believe in a strength-based, person-centered approach to counseling. I achieve this through compassion, respect, positive relationship development, and creativity in sessions. I use developmentally appropriate interventions and techniques to foster personal growth through Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and Licensed School Counselor, and a Nationally Board Certified Counselor. I love to watch sitcoms, sing, and play board games. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling from Adams State University, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
